Die Skulpturenserie von Wojtek ist ein Zeugnis seiner langjährigen Faszination für Holz – für seine Struktur, Unregelmäßigkeit, natürlichen Risse, die Spuren der Zeit und die Geschichte, die in seinen Jahresringen eingeschrieben ist. Bereits während seines Studiums erforschte der Künstler mit Leidenschaft verschiedene Texturen, stets auf der Suche nach Wegen, die innere Ausdruckskraft des Materials sichtbar zu machen. Diese Serie ist somit der Höhepunkt von über drei Jahrzehnten künstlerischer Experimente mit organischer Materie und der Natur als Gestaltungselement.
Jedes Stück Holz, oft vom Zahn der Zeit gezeichnet, wird in eine skulpturale Form verwandelt – roh, expressiv und zugleich harmonisch in seiner Unvollkommenheit. Einige Objekte zeigen Spuren von Farbgebung oder sind mit stählernen Verstärkungen und Konstruktionselementen kombiniert, die im Kontrast zur organischen Beschaffenheit des Holzes stehen und den Werken einen eigenständigen künstlerischen Charakter verleihen.
Die Skulpturen erinnern an Totems, rituelle Figuren, archetypische Zeichen oder abstrakte Formen, die an der Grenze zwischen Symbol und Artefakt schweben.

Seria rzeźb autorstwa Wojtka jest świadectwem jego wieloletniej fascynacji drewnem - jego strukturą, nieregularnością, naturalnymi pęknięciami, śladami czasu i historią zapisaną w słojach. Już od czasów studiów artysta z pasją eksplorował faktury, szukając sposobów na wydobycie z materiału jego wewnętrznej ekspresji. Ta seria stanowi więc zwieńczenie ponad trzech dekad eksperymentowania z materią organiczną i przyrodą jako tworzywem sztuki.
Każdy fragment drewna, często nadgryziony zębem czasu, zostaje przekształcony w rzeźbiarską formę – surową, pełną ekspresji, a zarazem harmonijną w swojej niedoskonałości. Niektóre obiekty noszą ślady barwienia lub są zestawiane z elementami stalowych zbrojeń i konstrukcji, które kontrastując z organicznością drewna, nadają im artystyczny charakter.
Rzeźby przypominają totemy, figury rytualne, archetypiczne znaki lub abstrakcyjne formy balansujące na granicy symbolu i artefaktu.

Wojtek’s sculpture series stands as a testament to his long-standing fascination with wood—its structure, irregularities, natural cracks, the traces of time, and the stories inscribed in its rings. Since his student days, the artist has passionately explored textures, seeking ways to reveal the inner expression of the material. This series represents the culmination of over three decades of experimentation with organic matter and nature as artistic substance.
Each piece of wood, often weathered by time, is transformed into a sculptural form—raw, expressive, and yet harmonious in its imperfection. Some objects bear traces of coloring or are combined with steel reinforcements and structural elements that, in contrast to the organic nature of the wood, give the works a distinctly artistic character.
The sculptures evoke totems, ritual figures, archetypal signs, or abstract forms that hover on the boundary between symbol and artifact.
